The Foscarini Nile table lamp combines a mouth-blown glass with a lamp base made of high-quality marble. The lamp is 55 cm high in total.
Description
Designed by Rodolfo Dordoni, the Nile is a table lamp with an impressive visual effect that emits diffuse light downwards and upwards. The Foscarini Nile represents the balance between two opposites, between the delicate diffuser made of white, encased, hand-blown glass and the solid base made of hand-crafted, polished marble with a matt finish, Carrara marble in the white version and Marquina marble in the black version. The underside of the base is protected by a scratch-resistant rubber surface. The base and diffuser, with their different inclinations, are united thanks to an invisible interplay of weights, positions and connections, creating a dynamic effect of togetherness. When switched off, the Foscarini Nile is beautiful, but it reveals itself even more fascinating when the light flows through the precious glass, radiating through the two open sides of the diffuser onto the surface below and upwards. A dimmer is integrated on the supply line.
