Licht im Raum
The german Lighting brand Licht im Raum was founded in 1956 by Johannes and Lisa Dinnebier. At that time, the profession of the lighting designer was virtually unknown. Dinnebier wanted to represent the light in a new way. With good light, it was thought the mid-50s on a chandelier. The young company had since quite different ideas. But for Dinnebier, light is an element of design in architecture. Light should no longer illuminate the room in the first place. And only then, the question of watt and volt. Explains Daniel Klages, the current general manager of light in the room, "to use the tradition, light as a design tool in architecture, we feel obliged to this day. The fact that the rooms are bright then, is as it were a side effect."
